1. Grant to Jump Start to provide direct, in-home services to at-risk families with young children

2. Convene and staff the Grundy Partnership for Children to rally the wide variety of resources and providers who serve our county’s families with young children in order to enhance collaboration & programming

3. In addition to monthly networking, CFGC staff is visiting one-on-one with child care providers and other professionals who serve families with young children in order to increase communications and collaboration.

Workforce Development

4. Convene the Grundy Transit Stakeholders to identify public transportation needs, resources, and potential funding streams in order to get our residents to work, education, training, and recreation

5. A Speakers Series at our county’s high schools to supplement our schools’ efforts to prepare students for career choices while also improving our youths’ soft skills

6. 941-HELP is a four-method information & referral system to get Grundy resources into the hands of Grundy residents so they can access the services they need when they need them

7. A Center for Working Families will be a collaboration among our county’s agencies to provide comprehensive, wrap-around case management services to families who want self-sufficiency

 Land Use & Protection

8. The Grundy County Growth Conference (GC2) annually brings our county’s elected and appointed planning officials together to address major issues such as water, roads, and land preservation

9. The Grundy County Area Planners is an informal group of our area’s planners and decision-makers who meet quarterly to network, discuss planning issues, and learn planning tools and techniques.  The GCAP will also coordinate a local day-long workshop taught by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) for our area’s elected & appointed planning officials

10. The Conservation Foundation will use CFGC grant funding to launch a comprehensive marketing & education campaign to help Grundy residents, landowners, and officials understand the variety of land conservation tools available
