The Grundy Bank Music Fund at the Community Foundation of Grundy County has funding to support amateur music performers in Grundy County and is looking for applicants.
One goal is to form a community band and choir in Morris for the 2014 summer season with performances during “Liberty Days,” the weekend of June 28.
Funding from the Grundy Bank Music Fund can support band and/or choir director stipends, accompanist stipends, sheet music purchase, uniform purchase and marketing.
Individuals interested in directing a community band or choir in Morris are invited to submit a letter of interest, qualifications and stipend requirements to the Community Foundation of Grundy County, 102 Liberty St. in Morris. The Morris Musical Arts Guild will assist with the interviewing and selection of directors.
